My name is Kecia. I am a single mom of 4 boys, with my two youngest home with me (Lachlan, 12 and Zephan, 7). Since we moved here, we have found it difficult to find appropriate and affordable housing. We currently live in a one bedroom, 300 sq. ft. RV. I look forward to a time when we can have birthday parties for my boys at our place, when I can invite a new friend over for dinner, and when I can have room to study for school while my boys do their homework. This opportunity will give us a chance to reestablish ourselves in a community that can support us and that we can contribute to as well. That’s what makes a house a home.
Hi, I’m Katelyn. My son, Preston, and I will be so proud to own a home that I provide a majority of the sweat equity for alongside family, friends and other members of our community. Home ownership will provide an environment where my son and I will thrive, providing consistency that a rental does not provide as well as a home that we will care for and live in for decades. Another way that home ownership will positively impact my life is that I will be investing in not only a home for us but also a piece of property that will become a haven for myself, my family and potentially future generations.
Hello my name is Tawna. Home ownership would mean so much to me and my daughter, Chloe. I am a single mother and wish for nothing more than to provide a stable home. With assistance from Habitat for Humanity, I can make that possible.
Hi, my name is Chloe, I’m 13 and going into seventh grade. My mom and I have gone through some very tough times. It would mean so much to the both of us to have a home of our own. Thank you for considering our little family and giving us a chance.
