Application

The physical safety and structure in which a family lives are key factors as well as a home being cost-burdened. A home visit is used to assess the need for adequate housing.
Serving families that fall below 80% of the area median income (AMI).  Prospective homebuyers will need to prove the ability to make a future mortgage payment through our application process.  
Partnership

We provide a unique homebuying program for low-income families currently living in substandard conditions here in the Flathead Valley.  Homes are build in partnership with the future homeowner and our dedicated volunteers.  Homebuyers will receive and affordable, low-interest fixed mortgage upon completion.

Financial
Approved applicants must be willing to fulfill a partnership agreement with Habitat. This includes a minimum of 500 hours helping to building your home, completing financial and homebuyer courses, and saving for loan closing costs.
